The Westmoreland Coalition to Prevent Teen Pregnancy will be holding their annual teen seminar on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at the Westmoreland Intermediate Unit, Donahue Road, Greensburg, PA.

Topic will include: Birth Control, Sexually Transmitted Diseases, and Internet Safety . 

All students are invited to attend this free event.  See your case manager for more details.

 

Tips for Completing Employment Applications

  • Follow written instructions and write neatly
  • Answer questions accurately
  • Emphasize your skills and accomplishments.
  • Do not leave sections blank.  Put a line through the section or write “NA” for “not applicable” if it does not apply to you. 
  • Use an erasable black pen to allow for changes and present a good impression.

Attendance

Please work on your monthly attendance.  Incentives have changed.  Each PACT enrolled student who has 100% attendance for any given month will earn 20 "Baby Bucks" to be used for items of your choice (see For students "Baby Bucks" link on our home page. 

As per the PACT Student agreement, you need to maintain a minimum of 85% attendance each month, as well as keep a 2.0 GPA!

 

Any student planning to continue with their education following High School graduation can apply for Financial Aid beginning January 1, 2010. Applications can be accessed via the Federal Student Aid website www.fafsa.ed.gov. The deadline for the Pennsylvania Higher Education Agency (PHEEA) portion of the grant is May 1, 2010.  You will need your previous year’s tax return information to complete the FAFSA form.
